Good Base Jump Vid, Sweet Music

Those of you who have been following my podcast and site for some time are aware that I’m enthralled with human flight in all forms. So when base jumping came along I was pretty jazzed. I saw it as skydiving but with a since of speed and distance that the viewer just doesn’t get when watching a skydiver in the middle of the clear blue sky. Now some would argue that base jumping/skydiving isn’t flying but rather just falling - I say ‘no way’ and that anything can fly with enough speed. Check out these folks achieving forward motion with nothing other then their bodies.

It’s a pretty good base jump vid, set to some sweet music.

Enjoy

Dead Stick Takeoff to a Dead Stick Landing

This guy rolls his airplane down a hillside, does a dead stick takeoff into a canyon, fly’s his airplane dead stick all the way through the canyon, and then lands on a small sandbar… All without his engine running.

Flying Over Ireland

I have to admit I didn’t know Ireland was so beautiful - Obviously I’ve never been there. Here’s a cool video I found on YouTube that is made up of various low flights over the Irish coastline and countryside. It’s definitely worth watching!

Flying Water Jet Car

I guess I don’t know what to make of this one: Perhaps it’s a bunch of bored firefighters? Either way, it’s kind of cool! It just goes to show you that with enough thrust, using anything as fuel, you’ll have an equal and opposite reaction; In other words, Newton’s Third Law holds true!
