Happy New Year!

As I write this I’m thinking back over the last year and of everything that happened.

One of the best things to happen to me was podcasting. I’m glad I started doing it and hopefully I can continue to improve the end product that arrives on your hard drives. I just want to extend a heartfelt thank you for listening to The PlaneMadness Podcast and for helping to make it better by providing me with your comments and suggestions.

A Very Unique Runway on a Portuguese Island
Here is probably one of the most amazing feats of construction I’ve ever seen. It’s Madeira Airport, also known as Funchal Airport and Santa Catarina Airport. It is an international airport located near Funchal, on the Portuguese island of Madeira. What makes it so amazing is that part of it’s runway is elevated several stories on pillars.

Just a real quick update… I had a computer melt-down last week. Consequently, I replaced the old system with a new one running Vista and then had additional problems with software to boot (no pun intended). I also published a small audio update to the feed about all of it as well- Hence play button above. I’m on a trip now but will be back mid-week. I’ve already started Episode #23, it’s a good one, and I plan on releasing it Thursday now. In the mean time I have my portable equipment, and so who knows… maybe I’ll record something from this trip…?
